The 18th Celebration of the establishment of the Bu Gia Map National Park and the 61st year of the Vietnamese Forestry Day

The 18th Celebration of the establishment of the Bu Gia Map National Park and the 61st year of the Vietnamese Forestry Day was formally held at the headquarter of the Bu Gia Map National Park
On the afternoon of 27 November 2020, the Management Board of the Bu Gia Map National Park held a meeting to celebrate 18 years of the establishment of the Bu Gia Map National Park and 61 years of the Vietnamese Forestry Day. This occasion is to celebrate the tradition of the Bu Gia Map National Park and the forestry sector generally. This meeting also enabled generations of staff to exchange and share experiences.

Former leaders of the Bu Gia Map National Park and other representatives of other organizations in the area also attended the celebration. Mr. Nguyen Dai Phu – Former director of the Bu Gia Map National Park and other retired staff also joined the celebration. The Management Board of the Bu Gia Map National Park also invited the representatives of other organizations, local authorities, local communities. All staff of the Bu Gia Map National Park also took part in the celebration.

In the coziness of the celebration, Dr. Vuong Duc Hoa – Director of the Bu Gia Map National Park delivered a speech to celebrate the establishment of the Bu Gia Map National Park and the Vietnamese Forestry Day. He highlighted achievements obtained by the forestry sector over the last 61 years. He also briefed the successes gained by the Management of the Bu Gia Map National Park over the last 18 years. He also emphasized the results related to capacity training that place a platform for the success of scientific studies, forest protection, ecotourism, and wildlife rehabilitation. The Management of the Bu Gia Map National Park also encouraged organizations and individuals to participate in biodiversity conservation programs. The Management of the Bu Gia Map National Park is proud of the results achieved over the last 18 years.

After that, Mr. Nguyen Dai Phu – Former Director of the Bu Gia Map National Park was invited to share his experience and review the work of the Bu Gia Map National Park and the forestry sector. He expressed his happiness when Mr. Vuong Duc Hoa is well performing activities to develop the Bu Gia Map National Park although there remain difficulties related to budgets and the Covid-19 pandemic. He also encouraged the staff of the Bu Gia Map National Park to overcome difficulties to complete the assigned missions.

In the Celebration, Mr. Dieu Mun, a representative of local communities, was invited to speak. Mr. Dieu Mun emphasized the role of local communities in conducting activities related to forest protection. Also, the conservation of natural forests contributes to preserving the cultures of native ethnic communities (Các cộng đồng dân tộc tại chỗ).

By the end of the celebration, the Management Board of the Bu Gia Map National Park also presented gifts for teams who achieved the best results in the sport festival for staff, local communities, and staff from other organizations in the area. There were two competitions including football and badminton. In the football competition, the Thon 3 community (Dak O commune), Bu Lu community (Bu Gia Map commune), and Bu Gia Map National Park won the medieval, silver, and bronze medals, respectively. In the badminton competition, Dak O secondary school, Dak O primary school, and Bu Gia Map National Park received the medieval, silver, and bronze medals, respectively.


Mr. Vuong Duc Hoa presented gifts to sport teams

The Celebration was cheerful and created opportunities for staff to exchange and learn experiences. It contributed to encourage staff and other organization to effectively protect the natural forests within the Bu Gia Map National Park.
